Each replacement kit comes with all the hardware and adhesive needed for installation.
The Liberator RMH-2 is lined with ceramic refractory fiberboard to protect the steel, increase efficiency, and increase the longevity of the heater. When properly maintained, the ceramic refractory fiberboard inside the burn chamber & internal chimney can last for many years.
However, ceramic refractory fiberboard is fragile and can be damaged with the ash cleanout tool if too much pressure is applied against the fiberboard. Always use care to avoid ablation of the fiberboard with the ash cleanout tool. Use minimal pressure, if any, against the ceramic fiberboards on the side walls and rear of the burn chamber.
Fiberboard can also be damaged by overfiring the heater. To avoid overfiring and potentially damaging the heater, it is best practice to use an infrared thermometer to measure the heater’s temperature. Never exceed 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 degrees Celsius), measured at the center of the cooktop (circular top plate) of the heater.
